Gamelyx is a personal game library and tracking app. This page says what it collects, why, and what you can do about it. It describes what the app does today — if a section says something is not collected, it is not collected.
No advertising identifiers, no third-party advertising or attribution SDKs, no location, no contacts, no device photo library. The app contains no analytics SDK today. If that changes, this page changes with it, before the first event is sent.
Only to run the service: storing and showing your library, computing your statistics and character, signing you in across devices, and sending the notifications you turned on. Nothing here is used for advertising or profiling, and nothing is sold.
Nobody buys it and no advertiser or data broker receives it. Data does pass through the infrastructure providers the app runs on — hosting and database (Railway), push delivery (Expo), sign-in (Google, if you use it), and email delivery for password resets — each handling only what its function needs.
Game metadata comes from IGDB and Wikidata. Requesting a game's page does not tell them who asked.
Reviews you post, and lists you mark public, are visible to other users with your display name attached. Everything else — your library, statuses, play sessions, stats — is private unless you choose otherwise in the app. Public content can be reported by other users and removed if it breaks the content rules.
Traffic is HTTPS. Passwords are stored as Argon2id hashes, never in a readable form. Password-reset links are stored only as a hash, expire in 30 minutes and work once. Connected-account tokens are encrypted at rest.
Gamelyx is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has an account, email us and we will remove it.
Material changes are announced in the app before they take effect. The date at the top is the last revision.
